GCSO Responds To Two Single-Vehicle Accidents Over Holiday Weekend

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of two accidents last week. At approximately 12:50 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 29, they were called to a single-vehicle accident on Highway 30, near Granite Ave. east of Scranton. Upon arrival, they found 40-year-old Joshua Lawson of Jefferson was traveling eastbound on Highway 30, when a westbound semi blew up snow, blocking his field of vision. Lawson swerved, going into the ditch and hitting a culvert. There were no injuries, but there was an estimated $9,500 in damage to the 2006 Chrysler 300 he was driving. At approximately 3:41 p.m. the next day, Dec. 30, they arrived at the scene of another single-vehicle accident on Main Street in Scranton. Twenty-five-year-old Trae Frohlich of Carroll had lost control of his 2005 Chevrolet Sierra and struck the building at 1016 Main Street. There was an estimated $2,000 in damage to the truck and another $7,000 in damage to the building.
