Ft. Dodge Man Accused Of Fleeing From Law Enforcement Pleads Not Guilty. Trial Scheduled For October

A Ft. Dodge man accused of attempting to flee from authorities in a stolen car has entered a not guilty plea in District Court for Carroll County. According to court records, 36-year-old Andrew Lee Jensen is charged with eluding or attempting to elude, an aggravated misdemeanor, for fleeing from law enforcement at speeds exceeding 95 mph. On June 26, a Swan Lake Park Ranger ran a plate on a 2010 Ford Fusion that came back stolen out of Ft. Dodge. Jensen fled after a Carroll County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to perform a traffic stop. The pursuit lasted approximately 10 minutes and ended when Jensen crashed the vehicle into a ditch southeast of Glidden. A jury trial is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 16 in the Carroll County Courthouse. Jensen also faces charges of voluntary absence from custody, a serious misdemeanor, and operating a vehicle without owner’s consent, an aggravated misdemeanor, in Webster County District Court.
