Gov. Kim Reynolds announced the appointment of four area residents Friday to fill Iowa’s boards and commissions. Dawn Meyer, of Manning was selected to serve on the City Finance Committee and sit on the State Historical Society of Iowa Board of Trustees. Luann Langel, also of Manning, was chosen for a spot on the Southwest Regional STEM Advisory Board, and John Bedward, of Storm Lake, will serve on the board for the northwest region. Roxanne Cogil, of Jamaica, is to join the Iowa Developmental Disabilities Council. These appointments are unpaid and not subject to confirmation by the Iowa Senate.
