Formal Charges Filed Against Norwalk Man Accused Of Stealing Skid Loader From Carroll Dealer

Formal charges were filed in Carroll County District Court Wednesday against a Norwalk man accused of trying to steal machinery from a Carroll dealership. Thirty-five-year-old Gregory Stephen Foust faces one count of first-degree theft, a class C felony, and possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor. The charges stem from an incident on April 28. At approximately 10:35 p.m., the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office was called to Haley Equipment after a technician reported Foust had taken a skid loader from the property. Authorities later executed a search warrant on Foust’s vehicle and located marijuana and a brown smoking pipe. An arraignment hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 29 at the Carroll County Courthouse. If found guilty of the charges, he faces up to 10 years in prison and a maximum of nearly $12,000 in fines.
