Formal Charges Filed Against Carroll Man Accused Of BB Gun Vandalism

Formal charges have been brought against a Carroll man accused of using a CO2 BB gun to cause thousands of dollars in damage to property in town. Twenty-three-year-old Duy Quang Vo faces one count of second-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony, and one count of fourth-degree criminal mischief, a serious misdemeanor. He admitted during interviews with law enforcement that he used a BB gun on Feb. 26 to destroy a glass door and again on March 6 to cause $2,200 in damage to a vehicle parked in the Pella parking lot. Authorities continue to investigate his connection to numerous other incidents. Vo is scheduled to appear in Carroll County District Court for an arraignment hearing on Thursday, April 12. If found guilty of the charges, he faces up to five years in prison and $9,375 in fines.
