Florida Man Who Fled From Authorities At High Speeds Reaches Plea Deal With Prosecutors

The Florida man who fled from authorities last month at speeds up to 115 mph has reached a plea deal with prosecutors before going to trial. Under the agreement, 28-year-old Anthony Gerome Moore, of Tampa, Fla., will plead guilty to eluding at speeds 25 mph over the speed limit, an aggravated misdemeanor, and be sentenced to 15 days in the Carroll County jail, pay a suspended fine of $625, court costs and attorney fees not to exceed $300. After sentencing, multiple traffic violations against him will be dismissed.  The charges against Moore stem from an incident on Jan. 30 in which he drove away from a uniformed police officer. The pursuit began near the Walmart in Carroll and ended in Crawford County north of Denison after Moore’s vehicle ran out of gas.
