Pioneer Athletics has announced that the East Sac County Community School District is a winner of the 2017 Fields of Excellence Award. The program recognizes outstanding fields and the hardworking crews who maintain them at colleges, universities, high schools and parks and recreation departments. Submissions of photographs, letters of recommendation and application forms are submitted to Pioneer Athletics from across the country each year, with the judges paring the entries down to the top 91. Out of that pool, two fields are randomly chosen as scholarship winners. East Sac County will receive a certificate of recognition and a Fields of Excellence banner they can proudly display on their field. Since the program was established in 1997, Pioneer Athletics, the nation’s leading manufacturer of field marking paint and equipment, has presented this honor to more than 1,011 athletic fields from across the United States.
