The Audubon County Roads Department says that the Pheasant Avenue project, from 190th Street to 120th Street, is moving along well. For the remainder of this week and into next, they will continue working on the shoulder rock and painting will follow. The road, however, is still NOT open to the public, only to those living or working on sites along the route and to emergency vehicles. They ask that drivers please continue to follow the detour until they remove the “road closed” signs and barricades that remain in place as there is still a great deal of construction traffic. Completion is estimated for Wednesday, Oct. 10 on the slightly more than seven-mile long construction project.
