Driver Extricated From Vehicle After Rollover Accident Near Glidden Friday

The jaws of life were used to get a driver out of their vehicle after a rollover accident Friday on the west edge of Glidden. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reports they responded to the accident at approximately 7:14 a.m. Their initial investigation revealed that a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup, driven by 53-year-old Carolyn Jean Berry of Jefferson, was westbound on Highway 30, when the vehicle lost traction on the slippery roadway. Berry overcorrected, running off the road, hitting a driveway culvert in the north ditch and rolling several times. The truck came to rest on the driver’s side. Berry was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County Emergency Medical Services for treatment of suspected minor injuries. There was an estimated $6,000 in damage to the Ranger.
