District Four Supervisor Candidate, Stephanie Hausman, Wants To Bridge Communication Gap

There are some changes to the election processes this year, one of which is the elimination of straight ticket voting. Republican candidate for Carroll County District Four Supervisor, Stephanie Hausman, says this is a positive move, ensuring voters are really thinking about the person they are electing, not just the party.

This is not the only talk of positive change Hausman has encountered during her campaign. She says while traveling throughout the county and talking with constituents at events, on the streets and at their front doors, there is one common theme she is hearing from them.

Hausman references her opponent, Democratic incumbent, Marty Danzer, who has served for 16 years on the board. She adds it is normal for people to fear change, but she believes her ability to lead with faith, family, morals, values and integrity will help diminish them. Hausman, who was born and raised in Carroll County, moved back to the area to raise her daughter. She says this is how important the area is to her, and she wants do her part to help the county grow and remain a place her daughter will want to live, work and raise her family. She also wants to use her assets and abilities to help residents.

Hausman is representative of the younger constituents, the largest demographic group in the county. She says she will spend a great deal of time with leaders to learn more about the day-to-day operations, but she is also vested in ensuring she understands all sides of the issues. If elected, she wants to bridge a communication gap with the general public.

Hausman adds she is a proponent of informal community events that will give the general public the ability to talk one-on-one with the supervisors. We will bring you more from other local candidates in upcoming broadcasts.
