With unemployment around two percent for nearly all of western Iowa, finding qualified personnel has become a difficult task for many employers. The Denison IowaWORKS office is hoping to alleviate the hiring process by helping regional businesses connect with job seekers at a career fair next month. Multiple welding, LPN and general studies students will be finishing their training at Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC) in December and will be available to meet with interested employers on Thursday, Dec. 13. The career fair will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the WITCC campus in Denison, and businesses can register to attend for only $10.
