CR-B Foundation Continues To Fund Teacher Grants With Upcoming Trivia Night

At the beginning of this month, the Coon Rapids-Bayard (CR-B) Education Foundation presented more than $1,500 in teacher grants to the CR-B district. This additional money now brings the total grants awarded for Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 to more than $3,700. “We are so thankful to the community for supporting our fundraising efforts for our school district,” said CR-B board member and school business official, Paige Huntley. She also discussed the upcoming Trivia Night, the foundation’s biggest fundraising event of the year. There is some heavy competition going into the third year as the team from Whiterock Conservancy has won for the past two. Everyone is welcome to participate on Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Gurney Parker American Legion Building in Coon Rapids. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the competition getting underway at 6:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Vacation Destinations” and teams are encouraged to wear vacation-themed attire for a chance to win additional prizes for the best dressed. Up to eight people can participate on a team at a cost of $200 for the entire table. To register a team for Trivia Night or to get more information, use the contact details included below.
