Community Pharmacies Adding Convenience Service Free Of Charge For Customers

Community Pharmacy has announced the adoption of a new service that will coordinate medications into one monthly, synchronized program. Pharmacist, Bret Francis, says the SimpleSync program is free to their customers. “When a patient is on multiple medications,” Francis explains, “they can enroll in the program. At the pharmacy, we coordinate all the prescriptions into one monthly pick-up. We can combine an entire family’s medicines so it’s one easy stop.” Enrollment can be done at the Community Pharmacies in Lake City, Lake View, Gowrie and Rockwell City. Pharmacists will discuss the patient’s medications and work out the distribution plan. Pharmacist Jenna Sturm, says once the plan is developed, they will get to work on synchronization and then contact the patient again, and continue to do so on a routine basis. “We will call the patient about a week prior to the pick-up date each month to make sure the prescriptions are the same, get any refill requests and to remind the patient the date the medications will be ready,” she says. More information is available at any Community Pharmacy location.
