Churdan Man Who Threatened To Stab Carroll Resident Sentenced To Probation

A Churdan man who threatened violence against a Carroll resident after an online dispute has been sentenced to probation. The order against 18-year-old Tristen Jack Palen Wood was handed down Tuesday in Carroll County District Court after he entered a guilty plea to a third-degree harassment charge, a simple misdemeanor. Originally sentenced to 10 days imprisonment with credit for time served, Wood’s jail term was suspended for one year on the condition that he obey a no contact order against the victim and not commit any additional crimes during that period. The charge stemmed from an incident on Friday, March 16 in which Wood was found in possession of five knives after threatening to stab the victim or cut his throat.
