Carroll Woman Accused Of Child Endangerment And Assaulting A Police Officer Sentenced To Probation

A Carroll woman accused of child endangerment and assaulting a police officer has been sentenced to three years of probation after entering a guilty plea. The order was issued last Friday against 26-year-old Tashana Mariah Perry in District Court for Carroll County. In exchange for her guilty plea, two two-year prison sentences and the associated fines, legal fees and court costs have been suspended, pending successful completion of her probation. Perry was originally charged with three counts of child endangerment and assault on a peace officer, aggravated misdemeanors, and possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor. The court dismissed the drug charge and two counts of child endangerment as part of the plea agreement. The charges stem from incidents on Dec. 18, 2017 in which she physically and verbally assaulted an officer. She was contacted by authorities later that day and was found to have marijuana in her residence in the presence of three children.
