Carroll Votes On New Shirts That Feature A Once Controversial Lawn Structure

The self-professed “Greatest Store in the Universe,” Raygun, has concluded a recent Facebook survey and Carroll will now have an updated choice in the retailers selection of city- and county-themed clothing. The saying coming out on top includes a once controversial lawn structure, constructed by Jeff and Cindy Heuton. Cindy says that she first learned of the proposed t-shirt slogan from friends telling her she needed to check out the Raygun page.

The previous shirt: “People from Carroll: We’re Everywhere,” is still available, as well as a few new ones, including the winning cribezo entry.

Raygun will not be officially selling the shirts until after Wednesday, July 25. But the Heutons will be offering them for presale for a discounted price before the Raygun release. The shirts will cost $23 from Raygun, but any of the four designs can be ordered through the Heutons for $20 per shirt, with $5 of each sale donated to New Hope Village. And for those interested in the cribezo version, they will be able to experience the space themselves and buy the shirt at a special event at 1050 Mayberry Lane.

The cribezo came to be about five years ago when Jeff and Cindy purchased a home that had a cement pad in the back. When attending a musical event at a winery, they saw a wire corn crib used as the stage for the entertainment and thought that would be a great idea for their yard.

For those placing an order with Heuton prior to noon Thursday, July 19, their shirts will be available for pickup at the cribezo on Wednesday, July 25. For more information or to order shirts, you can reach Heuton through the contact points included below. More details about the shirts and images of the designs can be found there as well.

All shirts, with the exception of the “Yes, I Am From Carroll” one are 100 percent cotton. The Yes shirt is a 50/50 blend.

All shirts can be ordered by contacting Cindy Heuton:

By phone: 515-556-1029 (please leave a message)

By email: cindyheuton@yahoo.com

Sales on July 25 will be cash only
