Carroll Public Library Kicks Off ‘Everybody On The Same Page’ With Anti-Bullying Puppet Show

A troupe of jousters is putting down their lances in exchange for puppets in an upcoming program for the Carroll Public Library. Jester Puppets H.E.R.O.s will be the first major event at the library for Everybody on the Same Page, which is going on at libraries across the county in March and April. Youth Librarian, Diane Tracy, says the former knights’ show will tie into this year’s theme.

Wonder is centered on the story of a middle school student ostracized by his classmates because of a genetic condition. Tracy says the puppeteers will teach their message of acceptance and how to stand up to bullying in their show.

A similar book is recommended for adults wishing to participate in Everybody on the Same Page called Boys in the Bunkhouse that tells the story of a group of men with intellectual disabilities working at a processing plant in Atalissa. The Jester Puppets program begins at 1 p.m. at the Carroll Rec Center on Friday, March 16.
