The local Carroll Masons, Signet Lodge #264, has announced three new scholarships are now available for high school seniors to apply. Two of the scholarships will be awarded from the Grand Lodge of Iowa for up to $2,000. These scholarship are eligible for students interested in attending a higher education institution or a technical school and must be postmarked by Feb. 1 or March 1, respectively. Signet Lodge #264 is awarding $1,000 to a senior at Coon Rapids-Bayard, Kuemper Catholic, Ar-We-Va or Carroll High Schools. Candidates must be a relative of a Mason or Eastern Star member to be eligible for this scholarship. Applications must be returned by April 15 to be considered.
