A Carroll man has been ordered to serve 90 days in the Carroll County jail after pleading guilty to assault charges. Thirty-year-old Viktoras Guinan was sentenced Wednesday on the serious misdemeanor charge. All but 10 days of the sentence have been suspended and, instead, Guinan will serve a two-year probation under the supervision of the Carroll County Probation Officer. He has also been ordered to pay restitution to the victim if required and a $315 dollar fine. The charge against Guinan stemmed from an incident between him and 23-year-old Jayme Brower, of Carroll, that left Brower with minor head injuries.
