Hot on the heels of last month’s highly successful Carroll County Cattlemen’s Association annual banquet, Scott Venner, Vice President, and Sarah Cullen Irlbeck, Treasurer, are highlighting their scholarship opportunities for this year. Venner says they have expanded eligibility.
Irlbeck says it is easy to get more information, but there are some specific requirements to be eligible to receive one of the scholarships.
Last year, they gave away eight, $1,000 scholarships, but Irlbeck says they are always working to increase that number. Unlike other ag-related organizations, the Cattlemen’s Association does not require that the applicant be seeking a particular major.
The deadline for application is Sunday, April 15. The board will meet and make decisions on recipients by May 1. A representative will attend each of the winner’s area high schools to congratulate them on the award.
