On the same day Western Iowa Networks (WIN) made a $35,000 donation to the Breda Recreation League, the local group received another grant check from a WIN affiliate. An Aueron representative, J.D. Siebert, was on hand to present the $1,500 award from the Aueron Charity Grant. This money will also be used to help support the construction of a new concession stand in Breda’s Memorial Park. “Western Iowa Networks appreciates the efforts of the Breda Recreation League,” says WIN CEO, Jeff Roiland. “Their passion and dedication to advancing our community greatly impacts us all.” The WIN and Aureon donations will help defray the infrastructure costs of the new structure that will span a 52’ by 16’ area that includes a shaded outdoor patio space, two concession windows, indoor storage and two handicap-accessible restrooms. The Aureon Charity Grant originated in 1993 as a way to support rural independent telecommunications companies and the communities they serve. Grants are presented on a quarterly basis and more than $950,000 has been presented to Iowa nonprofits since its inception.
