The Breda American Legion Fred F. and Norman J. Bruning Post #607 has been hosting a special game feed every January for three years now, which will once again feature a popular gun raffle. Legion Commander, Bob Fasbender says the purchase of a calendar will get you an entry into the raffle.
Fasbender says there are many different types of guns from local vendors being raffled this year.
The night will also feature Las Vegas-style gambling for evening entertainment and some great samples of ways to cook game.
There are several different ways to purchase the calendars.
This event has been a great source of funding for the American Legion and they are planning on using this to continue with the remodeling efforts at the Breda Hall. Fasbender says they need to replace a deteriorating wall and attic space and do some work on the kitchen area. He adds this building is older, but it is a fixture in Breda, and available to use by all members of the community. Sales of calendars will take place right up until the drawings begin on Jan. 13.
