A 150 page hardcover book, that features the best photos and stories from the past five years in the state of Iowa, is being sold to help raise funds for a local trail. The tax deductible purchase of a “2018 Our Iowa” book will help build the Grant Park Trail in the City of Auburn. The trail will connect the city with the 98-acre recreational area along the North Raccoon River, northwest of the community. The goal is to offer a scenic byway for bikers, hikers and health enthusiasts to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Engineering and design phases have been completed and more than $200,000 of the estimated $550,000 needed to complete the trail has already been raised.
