Bomgaars recently made donations totaling more than $44,000 to area cancer centers, including $1,223.77 to the St. Anthony Cancer Center in Carroll. Store Manager, Mark Nepple, and members of his team recently presented the funds raised through Ladies’ Night sales in December as a means to raise awareness of women’s health issues. “Being part of a close-knit community in Carroll, it is important to know that local businesses support our friends and neighbors,” Nepple says. “Bomgaars is proud to lead this fundraising endeavor for women’s health and cancer patients throughout the Midwest for the second consecutive year.” He adds that they hope to make this a tradition and an opportunity for our community members to provide support to those battling cancer. St. Anthony CEO, Ed Smith, says they are extremely grateful for the community’s support and Bomgaars’ generosity. He says it is the contributions like this one that help them go above and beyond in meeting the medical needs of their patients. In 2016, Bomgaars made donations of over $18,000 from the Ladies’ Night events at 21 locations. In 2017, the fundraiser was extended to include 80 locations.
