Iowa House Speaker, Linda Upmeyer, has recently announced the appointment of Representative Brian Best as chair of the House Economic Development Budget Subcommittee for the 88th General Assembly. Best has served as chair on this committee since 2017. “Rep. Best understands the importance of making Iowa competitive for businesses to grow and thrive in today’s economy,” Upmeyer says. “I know he will continue to make Iowa employers and small businesses a top priority in this role.” Best was re-elected in November to a third term in the Iowa House, representing the people of the 12th District in Carroll, Crawford and Audubon Counties. The legislative session convenes on Monday, Jan. 14, 2019.
