Local authorities have arrested the suspect who went on a crime spree throughout Carroll Count on Wednesday. The incident reports started with notification of a stolen 2007 white Dodge Ram 3500 dually pickup truck, with license plate number GMC 394 out of Carroll. That vehicle was identified as one involved in an armed robbery at the Country Store in Coon Rapids at approximately 7:30 that same night. Police Chief, Andy Klein, reports that a middle-aged, white male who was wearing an olive green coat, brandished a knife during the robbery. The suspect then fled east on Highway 141 afterward. At approximately 11:15 p.m. Wednesday night, the same stolen Dodge pickup truck was reported at the scene of another robbery at the BP Country Store on Highway 30 in Glidden. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reports the stolen truck was used to ram the door of the closed station. No injuries have been reported in any of the incidents. Authorities have not yet released the suspect’s name at this time.
