Audubon’s new recreation center is nearing completion and the Audubon Recreation Foundation’s next hurdle is to hire staff before opening their doors. Public Relations Director, Jill Christensen, says the first job they need to fill is the manager position.
The foundation is moving quickly to find a qualified individual. Applications are due by March 31, and Christensen says hiring will go into full effect after a manager is selected.
Construction work will be finishing up while staff members are being chosen. Christensen says they only have a few things left to complete and the facility is coming together beautifully.
Foundation members hope to have the rec center open to the public within the next few months. The approximately $2 million dollar facility was funded primarily through donations and grants and will feature an eight-lane bowling alley, a basketball court, exercise equipment and much more For more information on the jobs available, follow the links included with this story on our website.
