The Audubon Police Department reports they have transferred a Vancouver, Wash. man arrested in mid-May back into the custody of Washington law enforcement. On Friday, May 18, law enforcement responded to a service call at a home in Audubon and ran a check on 32-year-old Brandon Gregory Hayes, one of the individuals at the residence. Police learned he had an active arrest warrant for felony escape in Washington and took him into custody without incident. Hayes had been released from a Washington prison facility on parole, but had violated his terms by leaving the state without authorization, resulting in the warrant. Hayes was held at the Audubon County jail until yesterday (Friday) morning when he was flown back to his home state by Washington authorities.
