A boil advisory issued for customers of the Auburn Water Supply has been lifted. City officials were pleased to announce Thursday afternoon that it is no longer necessary to boil water after bacterial testing returned negative for contamination. The advisory resulted from a drop in pressure in the community’s water mains Tuesday morning after storms knocked out power at a pumping station. Officials apologized for any inconveniences caused by the advisory and thanked customers for their patience.
