Arraignment Scheduled April 12 For Glidden-Ralston School Employee Accused Of Sexual Misconduct With Student

Formal charges have been filed against a former Glidden-Ralston school employee accused of having sexual contact with a student. On Tuesday, a Carroll County District Court judge reviewed the trial information and evidence against 28-year-old Evan Michael Genter and determined enough existed to take the case to a jury. He is charged with sexual exploitation by a school employee, a class D felony, and indecent contact with a child, an aggravated misdemeanor. The charges stem from incidents between Jan. 5 and March 9 of this year in which he allegedly displayed “a pattern, practice or scheme” of sexual misconduct with a female student. Genter is scheduled to appear in District Court on Thursday, April 12 for an arraignment hearing. If found guilty of the charges, he faces up to seven years in prison and nearly $14,000 in fines.
