UPDATE–Three Carroll Businesses And Two Vehicle Owners Fall Victim To BB Gun Vandalism

Three more Carroll businesses and the owners of two vehicles reported window damage caused by a bb or pellet gun on Tuesday night. Business owner and former Mayor, Adam Schweers, says between 6:45 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., the front window of Computer Concepts of Iowa, located at 528 North Court Street, was shattered. During this same time frame, a window at The Buckle, located at 529 North Adams Street, was also shot out. A Buckle employee’s vehicle parked in the alley to the west of the store had a window broken and a vehicle parked at the Sparky’s One Stop at 402 East 6th Street in Carroll also had a window damaged by the shooter. This morning (Wednesday), the Carroll Police Department received a report that a window at  806 Quint Ave. had been shot. This type of vandalism has been occurring throughout Carroll since last July, damaging business, vehicle and home windows. Since the beginning of 2017 there have been 10 reports of new events, with five occurring in a 24-hour span on Jan. 19 and Jan. 20.
