Two Schaller Residents Arrested In Connection To Marijuana Growing Operation

Two Schaller residents were arrested last night (Thursday) after authorities discovered they were exploiting an elderly man by using his credit card to purchase supplies for a marijuana growing operation. At approximately 8 p.m., the Sac County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on a littering complaint at 509 Perth Street in Schaller, and when deputies arrived on scene, the smell of marijuana was coming from the home. Authorities discovered an estimated 80 marijuana plants with grow lamps, watering pumps, potting soil and fertilizer.  The man running the growing operation, 34-year-old Keegan Abraham Cross was arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana and exploitation of a dependent adult, his grandfather.  Cross’ mother, 58-year-old Glenda Turnquist, was also arrested for conspiring with Cross and was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cross was booked into the Sac County Jail on a $30,000 bond and remains in custody. Turnquist was booked on a $26,300 bond and released Friday on her own recognizance.
