Two People, Two Casey’s Stores, Two Separate Incidents Of Theft

A Grand Junction woman and a Lytton man are both facing charges for separate crimes at two different Jefferson Casey’s locations. The theft of Casey’s gift cards was brought to the attention of the local authorities by the store on East Harrison Street on Nov. 21. An investigation revealed that a subject, 56-year-old Cindy Jo Sheehy, allegedly mailed Casey’s gift cards to her brother, but he never received them. An arrest warrant is being sought for unauthorized use of a credit card, an aggravated misdemeanor, dependent adult abuse, a class D felony, and fifth-degree theft, a simple misdemeanor. Another investigation began on Nov. 27, when the Casey’s on North Elm Street reported that a male subject had written checks to the business that were later found to be stolen. The Jefferson Police Department is seeking warrants for 29-year-old Cody James Schulte for three counts of forgery, a class D felony, and ongoing criminal conduct, a class B felony.
