Two Men Avoid Serious Injuries In $18,000 Collision

Two men escaped serious injury Friday afternoon after their trucks collided in Coon Rapids on Highway 141. According to the Coon Rapids Police Department, 57-year-old Charles Largey, of Altoona, was traveling eastbound on 141 in a Dodge Ram at approximately 3:20 p.m. Twenty-nine-year-old Seth O’Tool, of Auburn, was stopped facing south at the intersection of Fifth Street and Highway 141 and driving a Ford F-150. O’Tool attempted to pull across the highway into the parking lot of Sperry’s One Stop Shop convenience store and did not see the eastbound vehicle. Largey was unable to stop his vehicle in time and collided with the front driver-side of O’Tool’s truck. The Largey vehicle was deemed a total loss with damages over $10,000. The Ford sustained an estimated $8,000 in damages. Neither driver complained of serious injuries as a result of the accident. O’Tool was cited for failure to yield on highway and driving with license revoked.
