Two Kuemper High School (KHS) seniors have been named winners of the 2017 Carroll County Agricultural Scholarship. The two recipients, Chris Gehling and John Hensel, were each presented a $250 award to be used at the school of their choice. Chris, son of Pat and Sue Gehling, of Breda, has plans to attend Iowa State University (ISU) and study Agricultural Systems Technology. John, son of John and Karen Hensel, of Carroll, also plans to become a student at ISU. He intends to study Agricultural Engineering. The Carroll County Agricultural Scholarship is made possible through donations from Carroll area businesses, the Carroll County Cattlemen and proceeds from a special 1987 livestock auction.
