St. Anthony Regional Hospital (SARH) is joining many others in Central Iowa in congratulating Sister Donna Mae (Leona) Venteicher and Sister Romana Klaubauf on celebration of their Golden Jubilee. Sister Venteicher is marking 60 years and Sister Klaubauf is celebrating 50 years as Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration. St. Anthony CEO, Ed Smith, says he would like to thank both Sisters on behalf of St. Anthony Regional Hospital for their life-long commitment of service to others. “Through their experience and dedication, they have touched thousands of lives. We are honored to have both of these women serve on the St. Anthony Board of Directors,” Smith says. Sister Venteicher was born in Willie and spent her life traveling and working in the Midwest. She came back to SARH as food service manager from 1963 to 1973. She received a degree in health care administration, and from 1975 to her retirement in 2004, she served in that capacity at facilities around the state. She is currently serving her first, four-year term on the SARH board and is a member of the Quality Committee. Sister Klaubauf was born in Sturgeon Bay, Wisc. She earned a degree in nursing in 1965, a bachelor’s degree in nursing, a certificate in nursing home administration, a master’s degree in community health with a minor in education and was a Ph.D candidate in public health nursing and gerontology. She is currently serving her fourth, four-year term on the St. Anthony Board of Directors. She is the secretary of the board and a member of the Executive Quality Committees.
