The Carroll Police Department conducted fireworks sales compliance checks over the course of the last several days at vendors throughout the community. Two individuals were arrested on Saturday, July 1 during the checks and charged with selling consumer fireworks to persons under the age of 18. The first arrest was made at approximately 5:46 p.m. at 2014 Kittyhawk Ave., the TNT Fireworks location, where 20-year-old Casey Louise Beam of Denison was found in violation. The second arrest occurred shortly after, at approximately 6:40 p.m., at 510 East Highway 30, the Jake’s Fireworks sales tent. Twenty-four-year-old Griffin Nash Williams of Chanute, Kans. was found in violation at that location.
