A man and woman were arrested early Tuesday morning after a report of criminal trespass identified one of the offenders as wanted on an out of state warrant. A little before midnight, the Carroll Police Department became aware that a resident near 9th Street and Capistrano Ave. had reported trespassers on his property. Officers located the suspects, 40-year-old Claudette May Jayne and 43-year-old Darren Joseph Cox, both of Carroll, in the 800 block of North Carroll Street at approximately 12:09 a.m. After locating the pair, officers learned that Cox was wanted on a Tennessee warrant for a probation violation. Both parties were taken into custody. Jayne has been charged with criminal trespass and Cox is now facing an additional charge of first-offense trespassing, both of those simple misdemeanors, as well as the out of state probation violation.
