Three individuals have died and two left seriously injured after a head-on collision on Highway 146 Friday afternoon. At approximately 4:10 p.m. on May 12, the Iowa State Patrol reports 69-year-old Thomas Taylor, of Oskaloosa, was travelling southbound in a 2015 Toyota Sienna on Highway 146 and crossed the centerline for unknown reasons. Taylor struck a northbound 2003 Oldsmobile Alero, driven by 31-year-old Randall Paul, of Grinnell. Paul died as a result of the accident along with two of Taylor’s passengers, 65-year-old Rosa Santos and 67-year-old Lourdes Taylor, both of Oskaloosa. Fifty-nine-year old Gloria Smallwood, of Oskaloosa, and Taylor were transported to Grinnell Regional Medical Center by Midwest Ambulance. The accident is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
