Fourteen Audubon High School Students traveled to the 29th Annual Industrial Technology Exposition last Friday in Pleasant Hill, and three of the participants claimed top spots at the event. The program took place at Southeast Polk Community High School and featured projects created by the students. The entries are separated into seven classifications and can receive a first-place blue ribbon, second-place red ribbon or third-place white ribbon. Any first place project is judged again to determine the top three best in state. Timothy Bozzo, a freshman, was awarded a blue ribbon for his shaker bench which was placed second for best in state. Freshman, Eric Hermansen, constructed a backdoor boot bench received a blue ribbon for his work and placed second in best of state. Macy Debower, a junior, built a low-platform bed receiving a blue ribbon and took top honors in the best of state judging. A list results for all participating students can be found included with this story on our website.
