Work on Carroll’s Third Street resurfacing project is scheduled to begin on Monday, Aug. 14 and is expected to take approximately 40 working days for completion. Construction on this phase will be taking place from U.S. Highway 71 to Grant Road and includes underground utility relocation, concrete patching, milling and asphalt overlay paving. Motorists can expect isolated road closures during the underground and concrete patching work. The contractor, OMG Midwest, doing business as Tri-State Paving, says the milling operation is mobile and will result in inconveniences at the time it is being operated and that extensive closures can be expected during asphalt paving and curing.
