The third annual IKM-Manning School Foundation GALA was a huge success, with initial estimates of over $90,000 being raised through sponsorships, raffles, the auctions and tickets to the event. Organizers report that the silent auction alone brought in more than $32,000. Saturday night’s event at the Irwin Community Building featured a social hour, a STEM program for those present to see how the proceeds are being used to support local Science, Technology, Engineering and Math initiatives, dinner and entertainment from Dueling Pianos. Guest speakers from the school included: school board member, Amy Ferneding; High School Principal, Brian Wall; biomedical and science instructor, Tina Neuman; and elementary teacher Jay Dreyer.
