Prices for student tickets to Carroll Community School District (CCSD) varsity athletic events will be increasing beginning next school year. The board unanimously approved changing student ticket prices from four dollars to five dollars beginning July 1. Adult ticket prices will remain at five dollars. The Raccoon River Conference suggested the change during an athletic directors meeting earlier this year. Currently, CCSD only charges admission to varsity level events, but the conference also suggested selling tickets for non-varsity activities as well. The board of directors did not take any action on the sub-varsity ticket pricing and will be collecting further information before making a decision. The change will likely not significantly affect students as a majority of those attending use student activity passes.
