A Storm Lake man has been arrested after entering a residence and taking photos of a 12-year-old sleeping female. The Storm Lake Police Department received a report on the incident at approximately 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, and were told that during the early morning hours on Aug. 29, 18-year-old Alejandro Hernandez allegedly entered a residence through an unlocked door, proceeded to the bedroom of the victim, lifted the blankets and photographed her with a cell phone. When the victim awoke, Hernandez fled from the residence. He was located at approximately 7:30 p.m. and taken into custody for questioning. A search warrant was executed at the Hernandez residence at approximately 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night, and a phone was located and seized. Hernandez has been charged with second-degree burglary, a class D felony, and invasion of privacy, a serous misdemeanor. He was booked into the Buena Vista County jail on a $10,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing and there may be additional charges.
