SMCH Lunch Connection Helps Patients Choose Wisely When It Comes To Antibiotics

Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City has scheduled their next Lunch Connection to help area residents understand a common treatment choice. Their presentation, “Choose Wisely: Antibiotic or Not?,” will be held on Thursday, March 12 at noon in the lower level conference room at the hospital, Dr. Margaret Vitiritto, Pharmacist, Nicole Kock, and SMCH Lab Director, Kelly Hays, will discuss how antibiotics work, the differences between viruses and bacteria, how each are diagnosed and treated and how antibiotics interact with other medications.
