Gov. Terry Branstad will be proclaiming April as Keep Iowa Beautiful Month, and the organization says they are proud to do their part by awarding paint to 91 community projects across the state. Six area communities have received a total of eight of these Paint Iowa Beautiful grants from Diamond Vogel Paint and Keep Iowa Beautiful. Bagley, Chariton, Denison, Manning and Sac City will all be receiving Diamond Vogel Paint for completion of projects to improve the attractiveness and beauty of their communities. A full listing of projects can be found below. Since the program began 14 years ago, Paint Iowa Beautiful and Diamond Vogel have awarded more than 8,900 gallons of paint to over 675 community projects in Iowa.
