East Sac County basketball fans have an opportunity to win $500 dollars and help raise money for Lake View’s splash pad project in Speaker Park at the same time. At halftime of both the boys’ and girls’ games on Friday, one lucky winner will be drawn. The contest is sponsored by Kettering Insurance, Inc. and Real Estate, and President, Cort Stargell, says a series of shots need to be made to win.
Contestants can enter by purchasing tickets from Stargell for five dollars per ticket or $20 for five. Tickets will be for sale at the East Sac County games this week, and Stargell has a special deal for those buying early.
The donors have asked that if a donated tickets get drawn, half of the winnings go back to the splash-pad project. The splash-pad is estimated to cost $120,000, and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to help fund the project. Tickets can also be purchased through Stargell at the contact points included below.
