The end of April will mark the seventh anniversary of a local event to raise funds and awareness about Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Sunnybrook of Carroll will be holding their Cherished Moments’ Walk/Run on Saturday, April 29, at the Eastside shelter house at Swan Lake State Park. Participants can choose a 5K or 10K run or walk and medals will be presented to the top three finishers in each category. Door prizes will be drawn at the conclusion of the event. Pre-registration to receive a free t-shirt will end on Thursday, April 20. Runners and walkers can also register the day of the event beginning at 8 a.m. The cost is $35 for each participant.
