A semi-driver just narrowly avoided a very serious accident at the bridge overpass construction site on Highway 30 near Grand Junction. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of the single-vehicle accident at approximately 7:45 a.m. yesterday (Monday). Forty-two-year-old Terry Gaul of Cedar Rapids was driving a 2016 Freightliner semi-tractor trailer and went through the construction barriers at the construction zone. Gaul was able to stop the truck just short of the bridge with minor damage. Gaul was suffering from a medical condition and was transported to the Greene County Medical Center for treatment.
