Scranton Woman Air Lifted To Des Moines With Serious Injuries From Sunday Car Accident

A Scranton woman sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle rollover accident Sunday afternoon. At approximately 4:52 p.m., the Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on Eaton Ave. about one and a half miles north of Scranton. Twenty-one-year-old Zach Waters lost control of the 1997 Honda Passport he was driving and it rolled several times in the ditch. He was uninjured, but his passenger, 26-year-old Ieisha Riley, was seat belted in but had her feet on the dash of the vehicle when the accident occurred. She was airlifted to a hospital in Des Moines for treatment of her injuries. Waters was not wearing a seatbelt and was issued a citation for that violation as well as for driving while suspended and failure to maintain control.
